Map tips
- Click on the icons in the upper left corner of the map to zoom in, zoom out and pan the map to the left, right, up or down.
- If you see a message saying that the map is not available at this zoom level, try zooming out then zooming in again to reinitialize the map.
- To recenter the map, double click at any location then hold down the left mouse button and drag the map in the desired direction.
- The plain markers point at the locations of all of the cities that you specified in the Your Places list.
- The M marker points at the location of the geographic midpoint. This marker may or may not be located at the center of the map.
- The Satellite view displays the selected area as a satellite image.
- the Hybrid view displays a satellite image overlaid with streets and text. If your city or town is covered by detailed satellite imagery you can often pinpoint your home and other points of interest with this view. Use 800 x 600 screen resolution for the greatest magnification.
- The Map view returns the display to a regular map.
